Traces of Pneuma

The prints are made with high quality archival paper or canvas and inks meant to last a lifetime and beyond.

Paper prints:

• Signed and numbered by the artist in limited editions of 50.
• 11" x 11" (9 x 9 image)
• 14" x 14" (12 x 12 image)
• 18" x 18" (16 x 16 image)
• A small white border is included in the paper prints.

Prints on canvas:

• Stretched and wrapped around a 1.5" deep frame and ready to hang.
• 30" x 30" size of the original painting. (Spans 42" from corner to corner because of the diamond orientation.)
• Limited edition of 20.

The original painting Traces of Pneuma is based on a photograph I took around 2004 near Arcata, CA. The term “pneuma” is defined as “the vital spirit, soul, or creative force of a person”. Its literal translation from Greek is “that which is breathed or blown”. This is represented by the transparent tubes or pathways I have painted. The way I have arranged them not only represents the traces of our pneuma but the way in which everything we do has an endless effect on other people and the rest of the world - no matter how big or small, direct or indirect. In the same way, we are affected by every little (or significant) experience we have. I see this as like an endless web of invisible connections and communications through time and space.

Traces of Pneuma was completed in December 2019.

If you are not satisfied with your print or original painting within 30 days of receiving it you may return it for a full refund once I have received the returned item in new condition. You are responsible for return shipping costs and packaging. I recommend saving the original packaging for 30 days, - especially for original paintings and canvas prints - if you are considering whether or not the piece will be a good fit in your home. (I have not yet had anyone return a painting or print, knock on wood!) :)
