"Strange Paradise" is a surreal landscape-ish space consisting of biological forms, patterns in nature and surreal creative components. Like all of my work it largely focuses on bringing to light some of the lesser-noticed wonders of nature. The title says it all - that this is a strange paradise that we are living in. Many forms in nature go unnoticed or are taken for granted, often times because they are microscopic or beneath the surface. Some of the organisms in this painting include: a mushroom (bottom center), liverworts (towards center), anatomy of a lampshell (center), a marine worm (left), and many more.
